  1. Lots of detail - you've conceived of great resources and the evaluation strategies look good, too.

  2. I wish we had the capability to do this at my campus. We have to share one computer lab. Science is one of those classes that would benefit from more use of technology in the classroom. Good job.

  3. My students love the Gizmo Virtual labs. I am so excited about training the other teachers. I don't think they realize how much this will help our lower learners. Thanks for your comment.

  4. I love the PhET labs. The Gizmos can also be interesting, but the effectiveness of both depend on how they are used. Science teachers at my school have also had success using electronic probes and Logger Pro software. Video analysis using Logger Pro has also been a big hit with students in math and science. I'm looking forward to your results, both with student engagement and with teacher cooperation. I'll be reading!

    1. I have an order in for LabQuests. I used them in Florida and the students loved them. I hope I can get them this year.

  5. Your plan is well thought out and interesting. It looks like it will not only be beneficial to you but to your administration as well. I hope they will use your information and data. Good luck! If there is anything I can help you with, please let me know!

  6. Do you think the teachers will truly use the software? I know on our campus we have those that say they are using it, but in reality, not so much. Will you have a monitoring system in place to ensure it is actually used, or will the scores just speak for themselves? I am a tech geek, so really looking forward to seeing what you find out!

  9. Darla,

Great idea for a research project. I think technolgy will be very beneficial. Hopefully, your school district will take the time to make sure that all of your teachers understand how to use the technology. I am sure even with the proper technology some the teachers will not cooperate. Good luck on your project.

  10. I think this should be a very interesting research plan. I know sometimes it is hard to get teachers to try something new. Hopefully they will take part so that you are able to have valid data and comlete your research.

    Good Luck

  11. I am very interested in your research study. Where in Florida did you teach? What is your baseline data to show growth?
